Paskenta Band of the Nomlaki Indians to write a teaching unit

NCHS has contracted with the Paskenta Band of the Nomlaki Indians to create a teaching unit for Grades 3-12. Work on this spiral bound, primary source-rich teaching unit will be completed by the end of 2012. A CD with the documentary film on the Nomlaki people, titled "Nomlaqui Boda" will be included with the teaching unit.

David Vigilante, Associate Director of NCHS, is the teacher-writer of lesson plans, assisted by Kristen Glasgow, Ph.D. candidate in history at UCLA; Marian Olivas, Program Coordinator at NCHS, Director Gary Nash, and a scholar advisor, Professor Steven Hackel from UC Riverside.
